Munich Airport to celebrate 25 years with fun-filled festival

Munich Airport is to celebrate 25 years in operation with a festival of music acts and entertainment to be held on May 18-21, 2017.

A mass of tents are to be erected on the 20,000m² area next to the visitor park. On the nearby green space, catering tents, food trucks and a beer tent will be open and offering cuisines from Bavaria, America, Asia and Africa, accompanied by an 18m ferris wheel.

The public celebrations will take place on May 18-21, with the first two dates reserved as ‘Music Days’ with acts including Bayern 3 DJ Matthias Matuschik and DJs Topic and All Colors.

The Action4kids theme park offers a multifaceted entertainment program for the small airport fans, which includes a flight simulator and various inflatable castles.

On May 11, a photo exhibition will be also be opened in terminal 2 titled Follow me, documenting the change that has taken place at the airport since its inauguration in 1992 to the present.
