Aspire launches digital reward scheme for airport lounges

Independent lounge operator Aspire Airport Lounges has launched a new digital loyalty scheme, offering travelers incentives including free visits and shopping vouchers.

Aspire Airport Lounges, part of ground handler Swissport, launched the new scheme as a replacement for its previous LoungeMiles scheme, where users would collect stamps at each visit and would receive a free pass with five stamps.

Now, lounge goers will receive points per visit and upon reaching a certain number of points, can either receive a free visit or a £5 (US$6.40) gift voucher.

Shaun Weston, vice president of global lounges at Swissport, said, “We have a number of lounges throughout some of the busiest airports in the UK and as a business we felt it was right to start rewarding customers who book directly through us.

“Booking Aspire Lounges directly offers more benefits over the old system as customers can convert points to shopping vouchers rather than just being offered a free stay in the lounge. The point system also means that one customer can take the opportunity to collect multiple points for group bookings and thus earn more rewards.”

Each adult booking direct with Aspire Lounges will earn four points per whole pound spent. To activate the free visits, customers need to achieve 500 points for one free lounge visit or 700 points for the e-voucher.
