Passenger Terminal Expo 2016 set to be the biggest event yet

This year’s Passenger Terminal Expo, taking place in Cologne, Germany, on March 15-17, promises to be the biggest event yet with an estimated 4,500 attendees including 226 exhibitors and nearly 350 speakers.

Passenger Terminal Expo and Conference is one of the most significant events in the airport and airline industry calendar, where visitors can hear from a number of industry leading guest speakers and network with fellow professionals to discuss the hottest topics affecting airports.

Industry leading suppliers will showcase their latest and most innovative products in the Koln Messe exhibition hall, with product launches from the likes of Materna, with its new retro-fit bag-drop kiosk Merkur, and Vision-Box, which will be showcasing its innovative common-use passenger management platform, called orchestra.

The Passenger Terminal Conference program kicks off at 8:45am on March 15, with an opening address by Michael Garvens, chairman of the management board and CEO of Cologne Bonn Airport. This will be followed by nine sessions on the first day alone, including a presentation on managing insider threats in the aviation sector by Alan Black, vice president/director of public safety for Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport; and a panel discussion focusing on the ACI Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program. The first day is then rounded off with the Opening Day Party taking place at 5:00pm in the exhibition hall.

Alongside the exhibits and conference speakers, guests will be treated to another event highlight in the form of the industry-renowned Skytrax World Airport Awards, presented live in the exhibition hall at 5:30pm on March 16.
