ALD opens second lounge at Orlando International Airport

Shared-use lounge operator Airport Lounge Development (ALD) has opened its second offering at Orlando International Airport (MCO) in Florida. The new facility provides seating for up to 60 guests and includes complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, wi-fi, access to showers, a diverse range of reading materials and an abundance of power outlets for mobile devices.

The Club MCO is ALD’s 15th location globally and is accessible by all travelers regardless of the class of ticket purchased or affinity membership. Day passes can be purchase online or at the entrance for US$40, which will grant access to the Club MCO and its counterpart lounge located in Airside 4. Members of Priority Pass, LoungeKey and Lounge Club, in addition to premium passengers of participating airlines, are also granted access to the lounge.

Nancy Knipp, senior vice president of ALD, said, “On the heels of Orlando International Airport’s most successful year in its history, ALD is excited to be a part of the airport’s continued growth. As passenger traffic continues to increase at Orlando International, we are excited to open our second lounge to provide even more travelers with a premium lounge option.”

Phil Brown, executive director of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA), the airport operator, said, “The addition of a second club emphasizes the value Orlando International Airport places on meeting the demands of our traveling public. Today’s traveler wants more and providing world-class amenities helps meet that expectation.”

Alongside its range of modern seating and furniture options, the lounge also includes photography from local Orlando photographer Chad Byerly. An Orlando native for more than 30 years, Byerly’s photography brings the heart of the city into the lounge.
