Materna acquires DSG Bagdrop

Automated passenger handling solutions supplier Materna Group has acquired self-service bag drop developer DSG Bagdrop, effective from January 1, 2016.

Norwegian-based DSG Bagdrop, a former subsidiary of service and trading company Bertel O. Steen Group, was founded in 2009. The company’s acquisition will further strengthen Materna’s portfolio of automated passenger handling services. 

DSG Bagdrop will continue to develop and support its current products for all existing customers. All DSG Bagdrop employees will remain located in Oslo, Norway.

Helmut Binder, CEO of Materna Group, said, “We are truly pleased to welcome DSG Bagdrop as a part of the Materna Group. DSG Bagdrop is a leading solution provider in Europe and we are looking forward to extending our success in this aviation market segment by integrating renowned DSG Bagdrop products.”
