CDM agreement reached for Lisbon Airport

An agreement was signed yesterday (Monday, January 25, 2016) by the main operators at Lisbon Airport in Portugal for the installation of a new technology platform to enable collaborative decision making (CDM) among the operators. This will lead to enhanced operations through the sharing of information and the adoption of coordinated processes.

Airport operator ANA Aeroportos de Portugal, air traffic service provider NAV Portugal, airline operator TAP Portugal and ground handlers Portway and Groundforce all signed the agreement during a ceremony held at the airport.

The primary aim of the project is to organize European air space into blocks that are functional rather than determined by the national borders of the various countries, in order to create safe conditions for dealing with the projected growth in air traffic.
