Board approves concession upgrades at DFW International

Several new and improved concession agreements have been announced by Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport in Texas, USA, including a Maggiano’s Little Italy restaurant in Terminal C, a Rodeo Bar in Terminal B and a Belgium Beer Café kiosk in Terminal C.

The DFW Airport Board also revealed that The Coca-Cola Company would be replacing PepsiCo as the airport’s main beverage contractor. The 10-year contract takes effect in March 2016 with the introduction of Coca-Cola beverages at concessions, retail locations and other facilities throughout the airport.

Sean Donohue, CEO of DFW International Airport, said, “Coca-Cola brings a global brand portfolio that we are confident will meet the needs of our customers. At DFW we are focused on enhancing the choices available to customers at our airport, and the comprehensive deal that Coca-Cola put together for DFW shows they share in our customer focus.

“We thank PepsiCo for the great service they have provided to DFW and to our customers as our primary provider since 1995.”

Mark Schortman, president of the southwest operating unit for Coca-Cola Refreshments, said, “All of us at Coca-Cola are excited that the more than 64 million people who visit DFW International Airport per year will soon travel refreshed with our broad portfolio of Coca-Cola products, including our wide range of low- and no-calorie beverages. As with all our customers, we are ready to get to work providing the best products and best services to our latest valued customer and to all the travelers they touch.”
