T4 retail development approved for Phoenix Sky Harbor International

Phoenix City Council has approved the first phase of new retail contracts in Terminal 4 (T4) at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Arizona. The development will add two spa locations, several tech stores and an assortment of local and national retailers.

Contracts were awarded to Lagardere Travel retail, Avila Retail Development and Management, HG Phoenix Retailers, Paradies and XpresSpa Phoenix Airport. Each concessionaire will be responsible for opening pre-specified concepts in several phases until the end of 2016.

The proposed gift and newsagent concepts include 12 News, Arizona Highways, Brooks Brothers, Bunky Boutique, Cactus Candy, Connections, Fire CZ, Hudson, Johnson & Murphy, Roosevelt Row, Sunglass Hut, TODAY and Uno de 50.

Specialty concepts include Earth Spirit, stocking a wide range of art glass, hand-wrought sculptures, polished wood jewelry boxes and flowing carved stone figures; iStore, providing customers with accessories for all their digital needs; and Mosaic, selling jewelry, paintings, limited edition prints and creative ceramics.

Jim Bennett, director of aviation services, Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, said, “Following our award-winning and successful food and beverage upgrade in T4, which achieved international acclaim, we will now offer a mix of diverse products and services to delight our customers.”

Chris Madsen, deputy aviation director for business and properties, Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, said, “This project will not only enhance customer service for thousands of travelers every day. But passengers will have their choice of nationally-recognized brands and one-of-a-kind local merchandise only found in Arizona.”
